Zoey met Santa!

This weekend, I took Zoey to meet Santa for the first time. And she was a perfect angel! The Santa Claws photo shoot was a fundraiser for Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. The volunteers immediately recognized Zoey from her "Success Story" interview and photo in the HT newsletter. That little cat has quite a fan club! She posed with Santa for her close up. And at one point, she reached out a gentle paw to his face and touched his beard. I'm almost certain that she knew he wasn't the real deal, but she didn't want to blow his cover for the rest of the animals waiting in line.

When Zoey when finished with her photo shoot, all of the volunteers took a turn holding her. She doesn't mind her fan club showering her with attention. Cathryn, the Happy Tails Special Events Coordinator, snapped a few extra photos of Zoey with Santa. It turns out that they would like to use Zoey as the image on the Happy Tails official holiday card!!! In the meantime, I'm thinking that I may have to quite my job in order to do PR full-time for the cat...

Santa has an open place on his lap for Fido and Fluffy this year! Celebrate the season by bringing your dogs, cats, birds and other companion animals to PetSmart to have their photos taken with Santa! For $9.95 with a PetPerks card, customers will receive one digital photo in a holiday frame. $5 of each photo will benefit Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary on Saturdays only and Creatures of the Heart on Sundays.
